Sacco Central Kenya (SCK) recently conducted a series of regional stakeholder engagement forums across five key regions: Kisumu, Nakuru, Nyeri, Mombasa, and Nairobi as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration and advance the Shared Services initiative within the SACCO sector.
The purpose of these forums was threefold:
-
To explain the concept and relevance of Shared Services within the SACCO ecosystem, particularly in light of evolving operational, technological, and regulatory demands.
-
To present SCK’s Shared Services value proposition and engage stakeholders in meaningful dialogue to gather insights, concerns, and recommendations from SACCO leaders, practitioners, and community representatives.
-
To ensure alignment and sector-wide ownership.
These engagements provided SACCOs and other sector actors with a unique opportunity to understand the progress of the Shared Services initiative, contribute their perspectives, and help shape the future direction of this transformative industry platform. The feedback collected will play a critical role in refining the model, strengthening implementation plans, and ensuring the Shared Services framework is responsive to the real needs of SACCOs across Kenya.
